Lies Portugal’s wildest band of misfits, Buraka Som Sistema. Buraka represents a five member crew on a journey of self-discovery through music and determined to give the world a front row seat to experience a new global club lifestyle.
Among other things ‘Buraka’ is about dance music and culture, which runs rampant in their new music video for “Vuvuzela (Carnaval)”. Directed by João Pedro Moreira, the video provides a glimpse into the urban lifestyle of Lisbon accompanied by an energetic customary style of dance by masked individuals.
The dancing can be interpreted as a repackaged version of hip-hop, mixed with krumping and tectonic. However, it certainly presents a unique style all on its own.
